Advocate and Survivor
Patricia Leidy believes in serving others and meeting them where they are. Her passion is driven by a very personal story and her commitment to helping other!
โIn 2012, a devastating crash left a driver with both visible and invisible scars and pain. However, the 10-month-old in their car seat in the backseat, emerged unhurt. Every cloud has a silver lining as today, that child is an amazing 13 year old and the driver, a CPST-I.
For over a decade, Patricia Liedy has been a dedicated advocate for child passenger safety. Despite facing obstacles in her hometown, Florida’s state capital, Patti has worked tirelessly to provide car seat education, organize car seat checks, and host community events. Recognizing the need, she consistently directs or offers resources to those who need them.
Over the years through the ups and downs of trying to find her space and opportunities, she has truly started to make her way. Patti continuously mentors those techs she has taught, and those who reach out for help. Along with two other instructors, she has made inroads into areas of Florida that have a desperate need for certification courses and parent/caregiver trainings. Her heart is to reach those who are marginalized in all aspects and to provide equitable solutions and resources.
Patti, we are inspired by your work and are honored to be a small part of your amazing journey!
